The Education Action Network at KSuite is focused on transforming educational outcomes through strategic partnerships, business engagement, and targeted investments in early childhood development. By aligning city-wide efforts and leveraging member influence, we are working to close literacy gaps and strengthen the foundations of lifelong learning.

📚 Advancing Early Childhood Literacy

KSuite members are prioritizing early literacy and school readiness as a foundation for future success:

• Primary Focus: Concentrated efforts on early literacy and kindergarten readiness, especially among underserved communities.
• Key Partnership: Identified Augustine Literacy Project (ALP) as a core network collaborator in improving reading outcomes.
• Tutor Campaign: Launched a campaign to recruit 200 virtual reading tutors from KSuite member organizations to support ALP’s literacy work.
• Community Support: Engaged partners such as Movement Schools, Fletcher School, DIME, and Freedom Communities in literacy and early education initiatives.

Our work addresses multiple barriers that limit access to quality education:

• Language Access: Focused on ESL support for migrant families to ensure educational inclusion.
• Special Education: Provided support for students with learning disabilities through specialized partners and programming.
• Wraparound Approach: Addressed the broader ecosystem of education—including family stability, economic disparities, and mentorship gaps.

• Network Expansion: Strengthened connections with AAFAE, CELC, Urban Promise, Communities in Schools, HeartMath, and Charlotte Marriage Project.
• Leadership Engagement: Empowered business leaders to use their influence and infrastructure to support family stability and literacy development.
• Scaling Impact: Collaborated with ALP leadership to develop scalable tech-enabled solutions for volunteer growth and operational sustainability.
• Resource Sharing: Distributed key educational resources across the network to spark aligned action and deepen cross-sector collaboration.
