Alan Barnes is a veteran business executive, consultant and relational‑leader based in Charlotte, NC. A graduate of Purdue University, he began his career with a 28‑year tenure at Accenture, before serving as Partner of 2xSalt Ministry from 2010‑2017—an organization focused on outreach through sports, music and community partnerships. He later founded his own consulting business, leveraging expertise in due diligence, arbitration and dispute resolution, and continues to guide nonprofits and entrepreneurs through board service, mentorship and investment activity.
Personal Background
Alan grew up in a close-knit family in Cincinnati with his parents, older brother, and younger sister. He has been married to Domonique for 33 years, whom he met through a blind date arranged by her father. They have a daughter, Sydney, who is 27 years old and lives in Charlotte. Alan lived in Houston for 12 years before moving to Charlotte in 1993. He attended Purdue University, earning a BS in Industrial Management. Alan enjoys golf, music (particularly playing the guitar), major sports, travel, and reading a mix of non-fiction, Christian books, Bible commentaries, and Stephen King novels. He is a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Carolina Panthers. Despite being an introvert, Alan loves connecting with people and has a rich appreciation for diverse cultures due to his years living in Europe. He enjoys engaging in debates for fun and continues to have a strong interest in advising and consulting. Alan feels honored and a bit intimidated to be part of the high-talent group forming KSuite.
