KSuite Impact Report: Education

The Education Action Network developed a focused plan to address key educational realities focusing on two key areas: expanding its network through city-wide collaborations and engaging business leaders to impact early childhood literacy.

Through strategic collaborations and focused initiatives, KSuite members have:

• Concentrated efforts on early literacy and kindergarten readiness.
• Identified Augustine Literacy Project (ALP) as a primary network connection.
• Created campaigns to support ALP, aiming to recruit 200 new virtual tutors.
• Focused on early childhood literacy, ESL for migrant communities, and students with learning disabilities.
• Worked with key contributors such as Movement Schools, Fletcher School, DIME, Freedom Communities, and Augustine Literacy Project.
• Addressed family and relational stability, early literacy and kindergarten readiness, economic disparities and resource gaps in schools, workforce and vocational pathways, and social capital and mentorship deficits.

KSuite Member Actions, Impact and Future Plans

• City-wide Efforts: Key network connections include African American Faith Alliance for Education (AAFAE), Charlotte Executive Leadership Council (CELC), Urban Promise, Community in Schools, HeartMath, and the Charlotte Marriage Project.
• Identified Educational Realities and Network Priorities: Addressing family and relational stability, early literacy and kindergarten readiness, economic disparities and resource gaps in schools, workforce and vocational pathways, social capital and mentorship deficits.

  • Network Connection: Identified Augustine Literacy Project (ALP) as a primary network connection.
  • Campaign Development: Developing a campaign to support ALP, aiming to recruit 200 new virtual tutors who are employed by KSuite member companies and relationships.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Actively assisting ALP executive leadership to develop technology and strategies for sustainable scaling of operations.
• Resource Presentation: Presenting resources to KSuite membership to create awareness and prompt action, encouraging synergistic partnerships among members.
• Network Expansion: Expanding the Education Action network with Kingdom-minded business leaders committed to using their platforms to impact family and relational stability.
